A great first week for a lot of our owls

Normal Hours Resume

Please don’t forget our Little Owls Nurseries and Hoots breakfast and afterschool clubs have resumed their original opening hours.
We will now open at 7.30am and close at 6.00pm.
Thank you for your patience and understanding and we look forward to seeing those families who are booked in from 7.30am bright and early each morning!

New garden equipment

This afternoon snowy owls have been exploring some of their new garden equipment, our children love to pour water and this promotes their gross motor skills.

You will see over the next few weeks on Facebook how our outside areas are being transformed to support our children and their age ranges.

Looking for bugs

This morning in tawny owls Toftwood we have enjoyed exploring the nature garden in the rain!

We put our welly boots and rain coats on and ventured into the rain.

Our tawny owls have enjoyed looking for bugs in our bug hotel and investigating the different herbs and plants!

Well done Tawny owls!

Moving on up!

This week in Toftwood, some of our Snowy Owls moved up to Barn Owls.

The children received certificates when moving up to their new room.

All the children loved exploring their new room and being with their new key person.

Some of our Tawny Owls have moved up to Snowy Owl room this week and have enjoyed exploring their new space.

We have all had a great first week in our new room.

Well done Snowy Owls

Mud Pies

Snowy Owls Toftwood had great fun in the mud kitchen yesterday!

They used all of the utensils to mix and play with the mud.

We have made mud cakes and mud pies!

Well done Snowy Owls

Nature

This afternoon in tawny owls Toftwood we have been exploring our nature themed sensory bottles!

The children enjoyed shaking the bottles which contain sticks, water and glitter, leaves and cotton wool to represent different parts of nature.

Sunflowers

Over the past few weeks our Snowy Owls Scarning children have been really helping to water and nurture our plants and sunflowers!

“Look… yellow!” “It’s big now!” “It’s tall like me!”

Today we wanted to share with you how much our sunflowers and plant teepee have grown big and tall!

Keep an eye out for our beautiful sunflowers out the front of our Scarning nursery when you and your children come or pass next!

Musical Instruments

Our babies in Tawny Owls Scarning are fascinated by the musical instruments.

This morning we had a fun musical session where the babies enjoyed making lots of different sounds with the instruments to lots of nursery rhymes.
