Welcome back Rachel and Vanessa

It was lovely today to welcome back more children to little owls Toftwood and seeing lots of happy buzz in the nursery.

We also welcomed back a few more staff today including our lovely Rachel and Vanessa from tawny owls.

And our wonderful Bethany and Megan from barn owls.

We hope those children who came back today had a lovely first day.

Welcome back Shannon

Snowy owl Scarning families,

We are delighted to inform you all that Shannon will be returning to nursery into the snowy owl pink bubble on Monday, working Monday-Friday to support Colette, Chloe and Leah. Shannon has came in today to go through an induction so she is upto speed on all of our changes in practice and provision ready for her return.

Shannon is excited to return, seeing all of her key children and families again and to spend time with the children and see how much they have changed!

Welcome back Shannon!

Signing songs

Hello everyone today in Tawny Owls Scarning we have been singing lots of songs using our laminated puppets. One of our favourite songs is five little men in a flying saucer.

Our babies enjoy listening to the song and holding their puppets and then watching them fly away.

This encourages learning about numbers. We would love to see what songs you are singing at home

Dinosaurs and cars

Today in Barn Owls Toftwood our children have loved playing in the small world areas using their imaginations to recreate roles from their favourite stories.

Dinosaurs and cars are very popular within our preschool room at the moment.

Decorating ice lollies

Good afternoon Little Owls!

This morning our Snowy Owls Scarning children have been decorating ice lollies and ice creams as part of our ‘Seaside’ theme this week!

The children have absolutely loved this!

Do you think you could decorate an ice cream at home?

Have a lovely week from Snowy Owls Scarning!

Animals

Our Snowy Owls Scarning children have been enjoying this lovely sunny weather today. As our topic this week has been animals we have done a lovely fun cool down activity with them based on this topic.

We have frozen animals and dinosaurs in cups with water and let the children explore these with their hands and various construction tools.

Splashing in the sun

Today in Tawny Owls Toftwood, we made the children each an individual water trays so the children could have a splash in the water on this lovely sunny day
