Baking, Hello-Goodbye, Suncatchers

Baking

In Tawny Owls Scarning, we have lots of fun doing various activities to promote personal development, and mathematical interests, one of our favourites is cooking and baking! This allows the babies to practice their motor skills, and representing their home experiences.
We enjoy baking brownies, cakes, and vegan shortbreads, which the children have enjoyed making, decorating, and of course eating!
Well done Tawny Owls

Hello, Goodbye

This morning in Tawny Owls Toftwood we have been reading one of our favourite stories. It is called ‘Hello, Goodbye’.
The children were really excited to sit down with their friends and listen to a practitioner reading the story. They children helped to turn the pages and joined it with some of the words in the story. We enjoyed adding some Teddy Bears to our story time to make it more interactive, some of our older Toddlers signed some of the animals including bear and frog.
Whilst reading the story the children said
“Hello” and waved to the animals and they said “Goodbye” and waved at the end of the book! Well Done Tawny Owls

Valentine’s Day sun catcher

In snowy owls today we have been celebrating valentines and this morning we have been busy creating love heart sun catchers.
The children showed great engagement in this activity choosing what colour tissue paper they would like to carefully place into the middle of the heart. The children also showed good fine motor skills and discussing who they love in their family.
