Bubbles, minibeasts and a library visit!

Today our Tawny Owls babies have had an absolute whale of a time exploring the minibeast-themed tray! The children have been using their ‘sight’ sense, ‘touch’ sense, ‘smell’ sense, and ‘hearing’ sense to discover the different objects & their textures in the tray, ranging from the ”soft”, fluffy”, “white” cobwebs (the shaving foam), to the ”black” toy spiders ! We had great fun discussing how many legs the spiders have as well as counting how many spiders were in the tray! We also talked about the noise the spiders make when they “splash” on to the shaving foam! The children had so much fun!

Bubbles
This morning in Snowy Owls Toftwood we have been busy creating bubbles!! The children were shown how the bubbles sticks work and how big the bubbles can get before attempting to create their own bubbles!!
Well done Snowy Owls!

Children from our tawny owls, snowy owls and barn owls came together this morning to visit the library bus together in small groups. It was lovely to see the older children reading books with the younger children and listening to their interactions as they point out different pictures within the books intently reading them the stories. The children selected books to issue that we can read with our friends within the nurseries and share a story at our daily group times with a practitioner.
“ it’s an elephant”
“One, two, three ducks”
“I can see the library bus, can I go on it”
“I love peppa pig”
