Junk modelling is messy, creative, cost effective and packed with learning opportunities! Junk modelling supports the children cognitive development by encouraging problem solving and, cause and effect! It also supports the children’s fine motor skills by strengthening their little fingers by tearing, sticking and joining! Junk Modelling is such a simple activity that you can easily do at home for free! - Bonus! We’d love to see your junk modelling creations!

This morning in Barn Owls Scarning the children enjoyed another wonderful visit from Whimsical and Wild Florist who supported the children in making their own Christmas wreath! The children demonstrated fantastic engagement with this activity and loved thinking about where to place each piece of foliage! The children loved seeing their finished artwork and are so excited to take these home!
