Celebrating England in the finals

Today in Barn Owls we have been Mirror Painting, this has been a relaxing activity with art outside. We have all had individual mirrors and paint, exploring our own reflections painting a self portrait. Barn Owls have enjoyed this activity we have carried on inside, painting our surroundings.

Everyone at Little Owls Toftwood have been preparing and celebrating the football today and getting ready for the game tonight !! We have all enjoyed practising our football skills, dancing to football anthems and taking part in football crafts. We have all had lots of fun.

This week in Tawny Owls our theme is Sea Life! Our Toddlers have been exploring some under the sea water trays with various sea creatures, the children were all very fascinated and used their senses to feel the textures of the sea creatures and observe the colours of the water! Lovely playing Tawny Owls!

We’re sure you are as excited as we are with England’s success so far in the Euros . We would like to invite you to join us at both Toftwood and Scarning nurseries in celebrating England getting to the final
From tomorrow (Friday 9th) til Friday 16th you can come to nursery wearing red and white or your favourite sports gear or football top.
The grown ups will also be joining in too.

Today in Snowy Owls & Barns Owls Scarning we have been getting creative and in the spirit ready for the big football weekend
In celebration of reaching the final we have been decorating the nursery with lots of England banners, footballs and football goals
We have also been playing football games as a team in the gardens, cheering each other on and turn taking scoring goals!
All of the children really enjoyed getting creative and hands on using various craft resources such as tissue paper, paper plates and paint in the England colours!
This was also a fantastic opportunity for the children to discuss where they have been watching the football and who they have been supporting England with in their home environments! We had the following quotes today such as “It’s coming home” “England!” “We are going to win!”
Let’s all keep our fingers and toes crossed for the big weekend for our home team, England.
