Dough Disco & Wellbeing

Today our Barn owls have been busy developing their fine motor skills by taking part in ‘Dough Disco’.

Dough Disco is an exercise for the fingers to improve muscle control in preparation for becoming writers.
It involves moulding playdough to songs and music by performing actions such as squeezing, rolling, pinching and patting.
The children all joined in with their individual pots of dough.

Just look at the fun they had….

This week in Snowy Owls our topic is Wellbeing. Today as part of our topic we are exploring some Very Hungry Caterpillar activities.
In our Purple bubble the children are enjoying a matching game where they are taking it in turns to create a match as well as talking about the different foods they find
In Pink bubble the children are exploring a builders tray with the fruits from the very hungry caterpillar and learning about what foods are healthy as well as discovering what numbers are on the fruits!

Well done Snowy Owls
