Fire engine visit and Halloween

Yesterday at nursery we had an exciting visit from a fire engine!

Our Toftwood nursery children were super excited to have a look around the fire engine and see the blue flashing lights!
The children even had the opportunity to have a go on the yellow hose, which sparked lots of excited discussion between them!
‘I put out the fire!’
‘I am super strong’
‘there’s lots of water’
When sitting in the fire engine, the children observed the firemans big coats and helmets and enjoyed climbing the big steps to get in and out.
After our visit, the children enjoyed a variety of fire engine related activities including, some crafts decorating a fire engine picture and using water to put our our own messy tray fire!
A big thank you to Dereham Fire Station for coming to visit us!a

HALLOWEEN FUN

Today at Little Owls Toftwood we have had lots of ‘spooktacular’ fun enjoying some Halloween themed activities. Lots of our little ones came dressed in awesome costumes and enjoyed showing their friends.
We have enjoyed party games, exploring pumpkins and slime, pumpkin hunts and designing our own pumpkins using playdough, We also made some Halloween biscuits for our party tea.
We had ‘goulish’ goujons, chips and petrified’ peas for our lunch and then we did some face painting, where the children chose their own designs.
There was lots of fun had today at Little Owls.
We would love to see more costume photos and your Trick or Treating adventures, please share your pictures below.
