Today our Tawny Owls at Scarning have enjoyed participating in some fruit and vegetable printing to create some artwork for our new interactive area at the front of our nursery.
The children enjoyed the sensory exploration of the paint using their hands and mouths; squishing and squelching the paint in their fingers and palms.
Each child explored in their own individual and unique way; from being able to independently grasp the pieces of fruit and understand the concept of pushing down and lifting up to create marks/patterns to using their fingers to trail the paint on the paper to create their own marks.
You can see from the expressions on their faces the enjoyment gained from this activity.
Keep watch out on this page tomorrow when we will unveil our new interactive area!
