Garden Revamp

Six Weeks to school!

This week in Barn Owls Scarning our topic is PE, where the children will gain experience and practice getting changed into a PE outfit for activities in the garden, getting them used to this change in routine ready for school!
Today Barn owls have enjoyed taking part in obstacle courses to work on their balancing skills, putting their arms out to remain steady and gain confidence to walk across the crates and wooden panels.
Barn owls then enjoyed playing throwing and catching games with one another, showing fantastic co-ordination skills. They also enjoyed doing some dance moves with the hula hoops, then using them for a jumping game.
“Look how high i can jump”
“i look like a kangeroo”
Barn Owls have all really enjoyed taking part in our PE session outdoors today.

PE Week

This as part of our school readiness programme our Barn Owls will be joining in with lots of different PE lessons!
Today the barns owls have had the opportunity to join in with a tennis and basketball lesson! The children learnt how to hold the tennis racket, hit the ball and how to throw a ball up to the basket! ‘look I’ve done it’ ‘I hit it’ ‘I hit the wall’
Some of our barn owls took the opportunity to practice their independent dressing as they changed from their clothes into a PE kit, something they will have to do at school.
Later in the day the children created their own obstacle course which they all enjoyed completing!
Well done Barn Owls!!
