Halloween Half Term at Hoots

Halloween Half Term at Hoots !!

It is quite hard to believe that Hoots Holiday club has opened its doors for October half term, was it not the summer holidays only a couple of weeks ago?
With the weather turning cooler, and the shops and fields full of pumpkins, Hoots have some spooky activities on offer this half term, the question is do you dare enter?
Once again, the Hoots team haven’t done things by halves and have planned a creepy and interactive week for the Hoots children that will truly get them into the spirit of Halloween and the season.
The week kicks off with some fabulous autumn baking and crafts, is there anything better than some freshly baked biscuits this time of year? From junk modelling to den building Hoots children really will have kick started of their half term with a bang!
Cinema
Who needs to go out to enjoy the magic of the big screen when it can come to Hoots instead? Making some baked treats such as popcorn and cakes, Hoots children will be enjoying the big cinema screen, now, we wonder who will be hiding behind their cushions for the spooky film (my money is on Johnny!)
Scavenger Hunt
After some down time watching a film, next on the agenda for the Hoots children is to join a team for the popular scavenger hunt and pond dipping.
The teams will have to work out the clues to get to the prize first and will also be examining what treasures the pond has and how it differs now the season has changed.
Hoots staff has spared no effort when it comes to setting up the hunt, and the children will get to finish the day off by making some spooky Halloween crafts and yummy bakes.
Party Time
As the week draws to a close, it is time to dress up, make a party feast and celebrate Halloween in true Hoots style. Apple bobbing, toilet roll mummies and a haunting pass the parcel it will be a day filled with party games, food and fun!
Hoots School of Wizardry
Hoots have really pulled it out of the bag this half term and saved the best until last. With so many of the children enthralled by Harry Potter, Hoots has opened its very own school of Wizardry! The children will learn how to become a wizard, make their own potions, examine unicorn blood, make and use their own magic wands, golden snitches and write secret letters that only a true wizard can read.
Hogwarts who?
We can hardly believe that in just 8 weeks we will be waking up to see if the big man himself has delivered the presents and putting the turkey in the oven!
Time really does fly when you get to have so much fun in the Hoots Holiday Club, anyone else think Little Owls needs to start a parent one?!
