Hoots Afterschool Club and Holiday Club
That’s a wrap at Hoots!
It’s hard to believe that schools have in the last week have gone back to school.
But, the last two weeks at Hoots were no less eventful that the four that processed them. Each and every week the staff put on some unique activities that encouraged the children’s favourite things and took them on some unforgettable days out.
It was certainly a memorable 6 weeks at Hoots which saw a number of outings, activities and themes explored.
Week 5- ‘Our Favourites’
The children wanted to have a whole week dedicated to their favourite fictional characters and as if by magic the staff went above and beyond to make this happen.
It was if the world of Hogwarts had come to Toftwood with activities of making wands, edible potions and even a book of spells!
With another firm favourite being Lego and construction such as KNEX there was lots of big build contractions underway at Hoots this week, and there was even the opportunity to make Moto GP Bikes!
If practising magic, making big builds and building Moto GP bikes wasn’t enough the children took part in team races and mini games complete with an ice cream station!
There was also an amazing day out at High Lodge Thetford on the 30th which saw the children make dens, explore the woods and the amazing play areas. It was a day out that staff and children alike enjoyed very much, especially Johnny!
Week 6- Star Wars, Minion and Disney Week
Whilst everyone else was frantically ironing school uniforms, trying to find the lost PE Kit and wondering what to pack for lunch the Hoots holiday and after school club were busy finishing off the summer holidays in style!
Just because it was the last few days doesn’t mean that the staff put any less effort into once again transforming the room and activities on offer.
The children made their own lightsabres, finger puppets watched lots of Disney Films and even did some Disney baking for a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party!
JD Coaching paid another visit on the 3rd September with another fabulous sports camp and the most anticipated event in the Hoots calendar took place on the 5th September with the ever-popular end of summer party!
Face painting, games, dancing and competitions and party food it was one party that went on all day and ended summer in the right way!
If you were wondering about whether to sign up your child for the Hoots Holiday Club Next Summer all you have to do is read what we got up to this year and we are sure it will make your mind up!
