Hot Chocolate, Work Experience, Parents Evening

Hot Chocolate

This morning in Tawny Owls Scarning we have been busy exploring our hot chocolate sensory tray!
we had 2 jugs filled with flour which represented the milk, a jug of hot chocolate powder, 2 bowls of cotton wool balls to be the marshmallows and some bowls of glitter to be the sprinkles!
we then added some spoons and cups so children could make their own hot chocolate!
RB was super confident and got stuck straight in! RB enjoyed getting his hands into the jug and getting big handfuls to explore!
SO enjoyed taste testing the cocoa powder!
OW enjoyed using a spoon to dig into the jugs and scoop some flour and transporting it into the cups!
EG enjoyed the feel of the cotton wool and liked to pretend they was some.yummy marshmallows!
a nursery practitioner was saying to all the children ‘can you smell the yummy chocolate?’
‘can you mix your hot chocolate?’
we then finished the activity by reading one of Tawnys favourite core books ‘dear zoo’ we enjoyed listening to the story whilst enjoying a cup of warm milk!

Parents Consultation Evening

This evening at our Scarning setting we held our parents consultation evening.
This gives parents the opportunity to come in for an informal chat with their child’s key worker and discuss their learning, development, next steps and any other areas they may wish to talk about.
We hope you all found this evening beneficial and are pleased with your child’s development and progression
