This morning in Tiny Tawny’s we have been exploring a Little Mermaid inspired under the sea sensory tray and reading the story together! Within our 0-2 year room, story telling and song time is the primary way we can promote communication and language. During refresher training, we have really focused on the impact of story telling and we have loved implementing this more and more.
Over the summer holidays, lots of our children have taken trips to the seaside and we loved recreating that in this activity. We used tissue paper to act as the choppy waves, and some bubble wrap as the foamy sea! The children loved exploring the different textures and using their fine motor skills to pick up the pom poms! The children also absolutely loved the small soft animals and offered them to their grown ups to show!
Well done Tiny Tawny’s!
