In our Barn Owls we continue our count down to school, as we supported the children to develop their confidence to talk about themselves. They used mirrors to explore their own features, talk about what makes them unique and similarities with others and painted self portraits.
The Barn Owls children have also been interested in the seaside and thoroughly enjoyed a seaside themed builders tray
In Snowy Owls we have been exploring colours with colour mixing, going on a colour hunt, parachute colour game and using different colour spray bottles to make patterns. The children displayed a good awareness of colours when asked to find various colours around the room.
In Tawny Owls, the babies went on a walk to the pet shop to buy a bird feeder and some sunflower seeds. This is in our garden so the babies can watch all the birds come and eat the seeds. One of the toddlers chose a shark ornament to go in Barn Owls fish tank . The children were very pleased to get a gift for their fish.
