Mini Monsters came to Little Owls Day Nursery Dereham

Toftwood Little Owls parents.
Please be patient over the next few weekends as our main nursery play area has a spruce up. Over the following weekends we will be having our woodwork all stained and painted to ensure it stays fresh and clean for our children We will also be sprucing up under the canopy area so apologies if it looks a little unloved atm.

In the mean time Mini Monsters visited both our Little owls nursey Toftwood and little owls nursey Scarning on Monday the 20th August in the afternoon. They brought in a variety of mini beasts ?, reptiles and invertebrates for our children to get up close and hold.

Mildred the millipede visited us umongst loads of others she has hundreds of legs! The biggest have about 750. Mildred probably only has around 250. Millipedes are thought to be one of the oldest animals to live on land. A millipede fossil found in Scotland is 428 million years old and is the oldest air breathing animal fossil ever found.

What a lovely experience for our children. The children loved exploring and learning about the different animals, such as what they eat, and how many legs they have.
