Night Time Story

This evening Tawny Owls have liked taking part in a night time themed story session,tonight we have read one of our core books ‘Good Night Moon’

Tawny Owls have enjoyed sitting nicely whilst listening to a practitioner read the story and they have liked getting involved by holding some sensory balls that look like moons! Tawny Owls have been getting involved in the story and some of them have joined in by saying ‘Shh’ throughout the story. The Tawny Owls also liked the sparkly light projector!

Hot Chocolate Stand

Barn owls scarning have showed a great interest in the shop role play within the room and so this morning to go with the season and celebration of cosy Christmas time we have turned the shop into a hot cocoa stand

Barn owls have all been able to show fantastic turn taking skills, taking it in turns to be the shop keeper and the customer, mixing up some delicious hot chocolates together.

Barn owls engaged in imaginative play together, using the spoons and saucepans to mix the hot chocolate powder, then tipping it into the cups and adding the marshmallows to the top for their customers

Using their own personal experiences from home to develop their play!

Work Experience with Polly

Today we welcomed back Polly to Barn Owls as part of her work experience.She was very excited when we gave Polly her very own tabard with her name on to make her feel a part of the Little Owls team !

Polly helped in serving snack to all the children ,along with reading stories and making paper aeroplanes to watch fly around the room.

Next week Polly is going to be leading a painting activity with all the Barn Owls
