Today in Snowy Owls Scarning we have been decorating salt doughs that we baked previously in the week with the scent of cinnamon! Snowy Owls really enjoyed using the different range of colours and glitters of their choice to make them really bright and sparkly to stand out on our Christmas tree.

We have also been very busy making lots of Christmas craft for our families and we look forward to you receiving these in the coming weeks as we run up to Christmas.

Today in Barn Owls, they have been getting the most out of the wet weather by playing in the water that we collected from the rain and jumping in puddles with our welly boots β˜”οΈ πŸ’¦

Our Snowy Owls have been feeling all festive today. They have been exploring the various textures of Christmas decorations and using them to decorate their very own tree.
Well done Snowy Owls.

Our Toftwood Tawny Owls have been busy helping to make some Christmassy mince pies. They helped to cut out the pastry and fill with mincemeat. Mmmm they smelled delicious as they baked in the oven.

Our Little Owls enjoyed another visit from the library bus. We had a little look at some of the books that were displayed then then the children chose a book that they liked and took it to the librarian to be stamped. Our next visit will be January

This morning at Little Owls Scarning we held our first Grandparent Christmas carol cafe and what a wonderful festive time was had by all!!

We started off by creating our own shakers using a variety of different junk modelling materials, as well as lots of other open ended resources. We then used these to make music when singing our Christmas songs too!!

This was such a lovely way to enable Grandparents the chance to come into the nursery setting and spend some time with their grandchildren on this special time of the year. We thank all those who joined us in todays session.

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

Our next Christmas Carol Stay and Play for Little Owls Scarning is 19th December 10am-11am.
