The children are loving our new outdoor play area.

We are delighted to show you …

Our new beautiful preschool area, sensory path, water pump feature, new trees and lots of green space.

Perfect for our older children who love to explore their environment and manipulate and move according to their interests,
Reading nook, a place to rest and reflect, and lovely mark making area.

This area will soon be in full bloom and trees will be full of lushness green.

This was a huge financial investment for the nursery during this very difficult period of time but one which we felt was so important for our little people.

Today has been a very exciting day for our barn owls!

We have been able to explore our newly renovated garden!

Barn owls enjoyed exploring the new sensory path and feeling the different sensations on their feet!

They have also enjoyed creating balancing beams using tyres and wood and demonstrated their super balancing skills!

Barn owls were also really excited about our new water feature! They sounds they could hear coming from the water feature saying β€œit’s going drip drip drip!” One of our barn owls said β€œthe birds will also have a lovely place to drink when they need to!” and also said β€œthe bees will be able to get a drink from here when they are tired before they make the honey!”

We can’t wait for lots more adventures in our new garden.

Barn owls at Scarning have enjoyed playing outside in the garden where we have enjoyed the warm weather this week!

Barn owls have been exploring the water wall and water tray, where they used a variety of resources to transport and pour the water down the tubes.

Barn owls linked their interest of vehicles into this activity and used the different cars within the water pretending to create a race track!

This week in Snowy Owls Scarning we are focusing on the topic of β€œThe start of spring!”. 🌻
This afternoon we have been enjoying the spring weather and spent some time out in the mud kitchen! πŸ§‘πŸΌβ€πŸ³πŸ‘©πŸΌβ€πŸ³
Snowy Owls really enjoyed spending time outside and using the natural resources of twigs, leaves and stones to make their creations such as chocolate cakes, cups of tea and even some mashed potato. β˜•οΈ
Whilst outside we were also very lucky to find some spring mini beasts, a ladybird 🐞 and a baby snail 🐌 This was a fantastic opportunity for Snowy Owls to discuss what they had found and show care and concern towards living things.
This open ended activity also gave Snowy Owls the chance to enhance their imaginative skills alongside each other and opportunities to share and turn take with different resources. 🍽
As the weather is starting to become warmer we will be making great use of the mud kitchen over the coming weeks.
