The topic last week in Little Owls was celebrations

The topic last week in Barn Owls Scarning is celebrations! The children have enjoyed making lanterns out of paper plates to celebrate Diwali, where they enjoyed mixing paint together, decorating the paper plates and adding lots of sparkles too.

Snowy Owls Scarning we have been focusing on Harvest time! As the children really enjoyed our autumnal sensory tray last week we enhanced this more for them to enjoy this week with different bird seeds, a range of pumpkins, pine cones, conkers and popcorn seeds! Later on this week we will be taste testing popcorn as Snowy Owls have enjoyed exploring the popcorn seeds! We made great use of our different senses and did some harvest taste testing! The children had a range of foods to try such as Butternut squash, popcorn, tomatoes, carrots, rice cakes and sweetcorn. All the children really enjoyed this experience and we had lots of empty plates at the end! Yummy

We have also been celebrating Diwali in Tawny Owls Scarning. Children have enjoyed looking at different pictures of Diwali. Children then enjoyed making splatter pictures with their hand, fingers and paintbrush. The Tawny Owls have had lots of fun.
