World book day
Its World Book Day and we are inviting everyone to come to nursery dressed up as their favourite character. This does not necessarily need to be a character from a book just something your child enjoys wearing. Our staff team will be reading the children their favourite books from their childhood. We cannot wait to celebrate this special day with our children at nursery.
Happy World Book Day from Snowy Owls Toftwood
Today in Snowy Owls Toftwood we are having lots of fun celebrating Book Day! Lots of our Snowy Owls have come into nursery in their story themed costumes and clothes, and we have been taking part in lots of story activities!
The Snowy Owls have been exploring colour and creating their own Elmer the Elephant pictures, adding glue and some coloured squares to them! We have also been using Alexa to go on a Bear Hunt, and doing some story book colouring too!
There’s A Monster in Your Book
Today at Nursery we have been very busy celebrating World Book Day!One o f Tawny Owls favourite stories at the moment is ‘There’s a Monster in your Book’ So we have been creating some paper plate monsters using glue and a selection of different textured papers. Tawny Owls spread the glue over the plate and then explored the textures of the paper as they stuck them on to decorate their monsters.
Well done Tawny Owls, you’ve all made lovely craft and you all look excellent in your outfits! We’re looking forward to reading all of the stories you have shared with us at group time today!
