Today at Little Owls Scarning we have been celebrating World Book Day! Lots of the children and staff dressed up in some amazing outfits, we have all had the best day reading each other’s stories Our children have enjoyed lots of different activities such as: making bookmarks, reading stories, stick man tuff trays and even a Hungry Caterpillar Snack!

This morning our Snowy Owls Scarning children have had an excellent time exploring the World Book Day provision and adult led activities! The children have taken part in cake baking, mark making, various crafts and an enticing stick man sensory messy tuff tray!
Within Early Years we like to give the children an invitation to play, our Snowy Owls have had a great time exploring their sensory stick man tray today – as you can see from the after photos
Yesterday we set up and created a dedicated area where we will await our special delivery of 7 chicken eggs.
Watching chicks hatch and being part of their care not only allows children to experience a real wonder of nature, it opens up numerous possibilities for conversations, including: how life begins, how babies grow across the animal kingdom, and caring for those we love around us, and in the wider world.
This will be an opportunity at both our nurseries first at our Scarning setting then next month at our Toftwood setting
